Where I’m from

I’m a healthcare writer in the systems tradition of Atul Gawande — the work is to set the level at which a field thinks about itself. Fifteen years inside the American machine bought me the seat I write from: providers, payers, pharma, policy, and consulting at Deloitte, Chartis, and Point B.

The angle

I write on the revealing axis. Not policy prescriptions, not personal testimony — making the machine legible from the inside, without reaching for villains. Observer, not preacher. The work is to give people frameworks and language to name what they’re already seeing.

What’s in motion

Essays and interactive tools under Health Is Other People. A book in progress — Breaking the Cycle — on how the American revenue cycle has trapped American culture. And advisory work with a few clients who want an honest read on the machine from someone who isn’t protecting it.
